Thanks to our 2026 Charity Partner!

The Kensington Historical Society would like to thank the Beach Club Casino on Hampton Beach for choosing our organization as one of their charity partners* for 2026.  Kensington Historical Society has two scheduled partnership periods in 2026. The first took place during a cold and snowy week in January and the second will take place September 8th through 13^th - which happens to coincide partially with the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival on Hampton Beach!

Please mark the September dates on your calendar now! And stay tuned on our events page for a fun event that week (TBD), hosted by us at the Casino! Joining us at the Beach Club Casino in September will ensure a healthy donation from the casino – contributing directly to the support of the Historical Society.

Our Historical Society is a resource for locals as well as people throughout the country seeking information on people and events of the past in rural New England. Part of our mission is engaging with local community members and other organizations to keep the community spirit of Kensington alive and thriving in the 21st century. Our partnership with the Beach Club Casino will allow us to expand our programming to assist with the goal of connecting our past to our present and, in particular, with our local school and 4th grade students. Additional funds may allow us to buy museum quality cases to display our collection of unique, local objects safely and to explore finding our own building to rent (or purchase) as a space to house our collection and engage with the surrounding communities more thoughtfully and thoroughly.

The Beach Club Casino features 140 state of the art gaming machines, table games, and poker. The Casino also offers The Porch Restaurant for brews, bites, and ocean views! The Beach Club Casino is part of Granite State Gaming, which also owns Lilac Club Casino in Rochester. Check out the Beach Club Casino and its work with other charitable institutions. And always remember to gamble responsibly!

*New Hampshire law requires casinos to donate 35% of daily house gaming proceeds to local, registered 501(c)(3) charities.
